Responsibilities: -Buy Apparel, Accessories or Home Fasion. -Travel domestically and internationally in order to opportunistically purchase highly fashionable, quality, branded goods that represent an incredible value to our customers. -Analyze history and current business in order to strategically forecast future opportunities. -As part of the merchandising team you will work closely with other Buyers, the Merchandise Manager, and the General Merchandise Manager to meet company goals and objectives. -Maintain knowledge of market conditions regarding price, resources and fashion as they relate to trends and key items, and react accordingly to impact sales. -Negotiate and make decisions to buy, while in the market place. Requirements: -Current Buyers only please. -Must have a minimum of five years of apparel, domestics or accessories buying experience. -Must have a proven record of strong negotiating skills, with examples to substantiate. -Must be a go-getter, with a "can-do attitude" and a true excitement for the business. -Entrepreneurial minded, with a strong comfort for taking measurable risks. -Ability to recognize fashion and trend and how it translates to your customer. -Must have strong analytical, financial, strategic and planning skills. -Strong team playing, clear communication, and relationship building skills are very important in order to be successful in our business. 5 to 7 years of experience The ideal candidate has worked for these companies: Off Price companies, Ross, Gabriel Brothers, Filene\'s Basement, etc?. Would also consider a Department or Specialty store buyer, but they must have significant market experience, knowledge of off price and experience with a diverse customer base.
