What do you get when you combine a cabin in the woods with a cottage on the beach, and throw in a cutting edge art gallery? Oh yeah, and, it's right outside the big city.

Enjoy the ocean view from your room or walk a half block to lounge on the semi private beach. Read on the porch amid the shady trees and watch the little birds and squirrels play.

Large shared kitchen, living, dining room. Flat screen tv monitor with streaming netflix or DVDs. Dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, wireless high speed internet which extends to outside. Help yourself to the coffee and light breakfast toast/fruit. Many amenities in your room for your use during your stay including umbrella, maps, and GPS. Your host is an artist, designer, and pinko leftycrat.

We're just outside Boston, near Quincy Center, with good public transportation & free parking. It's like combining Cape Cod & Boston all in one.

Caveats: the yard is a nature preserve, and an air of genteel summer camp-like-ness permeates all. Boxes of mysterious interior design ingredients regularly invade the dining room. Thrill to the excitement of semi-domesticated wildlife if you catch a glimpse of the neighborhood skunks, watch mating slugs, or if you're very lucky & a racoon wakes you up by peeking in the window.

A peaceful respite from the world if you enjoy eclectic beauty and are tolerant of a little of the imperfections of a 100+ year old house.
