Job Description

The Social Media Coordinator/Manager will work across all practice groups, imbuing account teams with your love of social media and the latest insights and trends in the digital media space that we can use to promote our clients. The Social Media Coordinator will report to the firm’s two Group Vice Presidents and will collaborate with other practice group leaders.

 

Responsibilities include: 

 

  • Developing campaigns that incorporate social media techniques to generate visibility for our clients and agency prospects.

 

  • Outreaching and engaging target audiences through various social mediums to create online conversations and communities about client brands and services.

 

  • Coordinating social media campaigns for clients including, but not limited to, blogger outreach, social network initiatives, social news participation, keyword optimization, press release optimization, mobile device marketing and virtual worlds participation.

  • Tracking and monitoring the success of online initiatives ( i.e. impressions, reach and influence), and providing reports for the agency and clients.

 

  • Educating agency staff on the implementation of new technologies.

  • Assisting our Integrated Marketing Department in creating and implementing social media campaigns to promote Schneider Associates.

 

Specific Responsibilities

 

  • Identify and report on digital/social media trends to agency staff and clients.

 

  • Provide training to staff, leading internal professional development sessions.

 

  • Identify and oversee implementation of digital/social media tools as needed for production, outreach, monitoring and measurement of client/agency projects.

 

  • Recommend digital/social media strategies as needed and as opportunities are presented across the agency’s client portfolio.

 

  • Develop the digital/social media portion of new business proposals.

 

  • Liaise with agency partners in Worldcom network as needed and as opportunities are presented (new business, etc.) in the digital/social media space.

 

  • Develop strategies and direct the agency’s designer and other vendors to manage SA’s online presence – web site, blog, etc.

 

  • Actively participate in relevant professional associations to elevate SA’s position in digital/social media.

Requirements Include:

  • Bachelors/Graduate degree in Public Relations, Marketing or Communications with one to three years social media, new media or online communications experience.

 

  • Interactive, Web and Public Relations skills.

 

  • Knowledge of online technology with particular interest in blogs, social networks, virtual worlds, wiki’s, mobile and other emerging trends.

 

  • Management of a professional blog for an organization and/or business.

 

  • Strong communication, research, presentation and creative skills.

 

  • Passion for new media that will be infectious among colleagues, clients and prospects.
