Software Automation Engineer
Position Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Boston, MA
Responsibilities
Architect, develop and maintain an automation / verification software framework for a highly scalable Java enterprise system. Work on immediate short-term goals as well as continuously work towards higher goals and most appropriate engineering practices. Contribute directly to all phases of development and quality assurance planning. Collaborate closely with other members of the engineering team. Work along side of experimental AI research. This is a unique and well-funded start-up opportunity.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in Java development
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in SQL, XML
Ability to work independently on diverse problems.
Excellent communication skills
Great team player, and have the ability to work with minimum supervision.
Desire to learn and excel in a fast-pace start-up environment
Excitement to build something new and work aggressively to meet new goals
Engineering or Computer Science degree
US citizenship or permanent resident
A plus
Demonstrated proficiency in existing java based automation framework.
Proficiency in Linux / Unix and basic networking tools (e.g. ftp, scp)
Basic familiarity with text-related tools (e.g. grep, sed, awk)
Previous experience working as a Software Automation Engineer
Previous work samples
Basic knowledge of network architectures and network programming (e.g. RPC)
Understanding of Internet protocols as well as related tools and technologies (e.g. web servers, web browsers)
MS in Computer Science is a plus.
